2010 is the year when young people (11-20 year olds) have the opportunity to bid for grants to 'share the Good News of Jesus Christ in ways that make sense to young people'.
This is a chance for young people to be creative & make a difference within their community. This is all about reaching outwards with each application being submitted by young people, supported by an adult. In turn, a national group which includes young people decide which applications will receive money.
Dave Green, our Diocesan Youth Officer's role is to encourage & advise those making applications. Over £36,000 is available for St Albans Diocese, with each grant normally between £200 - £2,000 (although grants may go up to £3,000 in exceptional circumstances). Applications must be made by young people, & need to be completed online by May 2010.
You'll find details to download here - there's one large pdf which has the 'whole pack' of info. We've also attached the individual sheets, in case there's a specific one you need to download. Also, do check out the Youth Evangelism Fund website!
Do get your young people to seize this great opportunity. And keep us informed along the way - Dave needs to comment on every application from our diocese, so the more you tell him as you plan your application, the better.
