STEP
Details
STEP has been around for a number of years and is headed up by a former parish youth worker - Chris Evans. Chris has a passion for bringing the good news of Jesus to young people across the area. He believes in the need to communicate effectively in ways young people understand, and is happiest when engaging with groups of young people.
Chris has gathered around him collection of volunteers from local churches keen to be involved in their local schools. Each year there are also young people undertaking an intern programme which is both challenging but enriching for those involved.
STEP believes in the holistic education of teenagers and specifically blowing the dust off Christianity.
STEP specialises in training teenagers as leaders.
The DYS has always had a close relationship with STEP and, along with many churches in St Albans commends the work they do.
