selfharm.co.uk is a newish organisation that is raising the awareness about self harming, providing support for young people who feel the pressure and stress of life, and training and resoirces to youth workers and teachers.
selfharm.co.uk has been delivering training and awareness sessions on self-harm for the past three years across the UK. Over 400 teachers and other school staff, social workers, youth workers and others have been trained to better understand why and how young people harm, and what they can and should do to help.
selfharm.co.uk helps us to increase our understanding about something that no-one wants to talk about but which, if estimates are right, over 10% of young people are affected by. It challenges the myths and provides challenging but supportive ways of supporting those who feel they need
