Pro-Action
Details
Pro-Action is a membership organization and is open to any of our church groups in Hertfordshire to join. The DYS is a member and Dave is a trustee, so the faith sector has a voice into this organization.
Pro-Action is an independent charity operating as an umbrella infrastructure organisation to which organisations affiliate within Hertfordshire. These affiliated organisations, youth clubs and projects work directly with over 60,000 young people on a regular basis. As the voluntary youth sector representative Pro-Action aims to work in partnership with the statutory sector and other agencies to bring direct benefit to voluntary youth organisations.
Pro-Action works closely with its affiliated members to provide them with a range of services and development opportunities.
Pro-Action aims to:
- Provide a voice for the voluntary youth sector
- Provide support, advice and guidance to help members thrive
- Increase communication and networking of the voluntary youth sector
- Increase volunteering opportunities and positive activities for young people
- Raise standards in provision of service for young people
- Support services available:

Pro-Action has a number of District Co-ordinators who work to support groups on the ground. They are excellent people and worth a conversation with for activities to get involved with, ideas, resources, etc.

5-a-side football competition
