Duty of Care is about the responsibility those entrusted with the care of another person's child has to take reasonable care for the child's safety and welfare - unpacking that means understanding Parental Responsibility, your role as a youth leader/worker, and the limits of your authority, as well as the ever increasing complexity of who has the parental responsibility for children and young people in your group or activity and the need for us to know who can make decisisons on their behalf.
