Christian Aid

Details

Christian Aid has a vision – an end to poverty – and believe that vision can become a reality.

Their website has a wealth of information and resources for fundraising, taking part in events, volunteer activities, as well as educating people on the issues surrounding poverty and what individuals can do to help.

Their youth work section also has details of their current initiative:

Sofa Sessions - a resource for small groups of 16-21 years olds and their leaders.

The interactive sessions consider six of the biggest problems facing our world today including climate change and corruption.

They are a great way to get young people thinking, debating, and ultimately taking action to change our world.

So let the conversations, and maybe even a heated debate or two, begin!  Loads of useful downloadable material so do check it out!

'Learn' resources

For youth groups of all ages, check out Christian Aid's Learn site.  Loads of downloadable resources, straightforward information and instant sessions on a huge range of global issues. Inspire your group and encourage them to take action.

If you are finding it hard to make a start, Christian Aid can support you to make it easier. We can come and run sessions with your groups, can get involved in events or give you advice over the phone. We are also really happy to offer training for youth workers about exploring global issues with your group, or on specific topics. Contact Sarah Clay for details.
