The Churches' Child Protection Advisory Service has been in existence since 1977 and has developed over the years into a highly reputable child protection agency. CCPAS is the only independent Christian charity providing professional advice, support, training and resources in all areas of safeguarding children and for those affected by abuse.

They have excellent 'Help' booklets -several of these have been written from a christian perspective for both adults and children whose lives have been affected by their own experiences of abuse. Others have been written for more general use.  They are available for download or purchase from their website.

We've uploaded 2 of their 'Best Practice' guides which you'll find useful - 'I want my child to stay safe on the net' & 'I want to communicate safely' (this is a guide to using modern technologies such as email, SMS etc with young people).

The range of 'Help' booklets available are:

Help...my child's been abused - what now?

Help...something bad happened to me.

Help...a sex offender has joined my church.
