Shiny New Blog
I have never blogged before so I am not quite sure what a first post on a blog should say, but I guess, hello and welcome, is probably a good place to start. So, HELLO and WELCOME to the Church of England Youth Council's blog for the Diocese of St. Albans! I'm Rebekah and I am one of the two Diocesan representatives on the CEYC.
I have been really excited about this blog since it was first discussed a couple of months ago and it is great that it has now gone live! I hope that it can be an interesting and thought-provoking forum to discuss and think about things relating to being a youth in the Diocese of St. Albans and also, more broadly, in the Church of England.
Recently, a group of us from CEYC had the privilege of meeting with the Archbishop of Canterbury and one of the things we discussed was Confirmation. Experiences and views were very varied on this issue and it is something that is going to be discussed again at CEYC in April.
So, I thought a good place to start would be thoughts and opinions on Confirmation. Below are a few questions to think about...
- What does Confirmation mean to you?
- Does your Church run Confirmation classes?
- Did you feel prepared for Confirmation?
